Choosing a bar/bat mitzvahs dress
I have been working with Jewish families and assist them with finding a Bat Mitzvah Dress. I have placed various adverts with The Jewish News, the Bar/Batmizvah Directory, their Wedding Magazine and the Style Counsel Fashion Supplements. I have had a number of interviews with their various Editors. Here is one of the interviews about What makes my business the perfect choice for finding Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
Q. What makes your business the perfect choice for a bar/bat mitzvahs:
A. I specialise in this age group for special occasions. My range of dresses, skirts and tops are elegant and age appropriate. With a large range of fabrics, I can work to client’s budgets.
Q. What is your specialty or unique factor?
A. My whole range is handmade and every dress if a one of a kind. So my clients know that no one else will have this dress.
Q. Why do your past clients love having your business involved with their bar/bat mitzvah?
A. My clients always comment on the experience at my boutique, where they have a large choice of options. They can buy something already made, or be involved in the design process by choosing one of my designs, fabrics and trim they like.
Q. Why do you love bar/bat Mitzvahs?
A. I enjoy these clients because there is excitement about their event and I often get Grandmothers involved as well as the Mother. It’s a pleasure to meet all the ladies in the family. It becomes a team effort and the best part is seeing the young lady have a sparkle in her eyes when she finds the dress she really loves.
Q. What are some of the factors to consider in finding the right dress.
A. For the Bat Mitzvah girl there is sometimes a family colour theme to be considered. As I have a large range of fabric colours, there is plenty of choice. The length of the sleeve and hemline are most important. I can make these any length.
Q. Where should she look for inspiration on what she likes?
A. These days there are many forms of digital and print media, movies. It is endless, but usually girls turning 12 have no idea what really suits them when it comes to special occasion dresses. The best advice I can offer, is to try on lots of different things on to see how it looks. They then quickly decide what they feel comfortable in.
Q. How can an outfit be personalised to make it special for the big day?
A. My whole business is a personalised service to cater for their every need, particularly if I making something for them and create a dress that no one else has.
